Nashville baby & child Photographer

I’m interested in who your child actually is—the big personality, the quiet curiosity, the weird little obsessions, and the things that make you laugh.

They don’t need to perform for my camera. They just need to be who they are right now. That’s where the good stuff is. That’s why we take pictures, isn’t it? To remember who they are at every step along the way.

Kids are cool.
I make art about them.

The Brown Bunny Promise

Every family who walks through my door deserves more than beautiful photographs. They deserve to feel welcomed, understood, and completely at ease. That's why every Brown Bunny session is built around three simple promises.

Beautiful artwork begins with feeling cared for.

Children get to be themselves.

No perfect behavior required. They can play, talk, investigate, be shy, be ridiculous, or need a minute. I'm interested in the person your child is right now—not a performance for my camera.

"She has a natural gift with children and is able to put them at ease." — Ellie

Because the most meaningful artwork doesn't begin with the camera. It begins with caring for the people in front of it.

I'll take care of the planning, answer the questions, and keep things moving without making anyone feel rushed. Babies eat. Toddlers wander. Kids change their minds. We work with it.

You get to enjoy this, too.

The pictures become something worth keeping.

The photographs we create aren't meant to live on a phone. Together we'll turn the photographs you love into artwork made for your home—prints, albums and pieces your children can grow up seeing as part of their own story.

KID PERSON. STORYTELLER. ART MAKER.

Hi, I’m Anne. I’m an award-winning photographer and Master Certified Childhood Photographer who has been making art about Nashville’s little people since 2017.

Before Brown Bunny, I spent 30 years designing theatrical lighting—and decades teaching little kids to swim and coaching swim teams. Turns out those things go together surprisingly well. I know how to find beautiful light, and I’m very comfortable when a three-year-old has absolutely no interest in my plans.

I like kids. I like their weird little obsessions, their big opinions, their terrible jokes and the fact that they rarely do what adults expect them to do. That’s the good stuff.

— casey h.

“It was so nice as a brand new mom to have someone be so sweet and gentle with my baby. I appreciated being part of the creative process so the photos represent us and what we like as a family.”

— daijah w.

“The lighting in Anne’s work made her stand out from everyone else. I went over 50+ photographers’ work and no one else compared to Anne’s.”

— cait j.

“Anne is incredible at getting the perfect shots of both of our kids, which is no small task. She took her time, had endless patience, and created such a fun, relaxed vibe that everyone felt comfortable right away. We loved her, our kids loved her, and the entire experience was truly wonderful.”

— JOSEFINE T.

"We had an amazing photo session with Anne a few weeks ago. She was great with our son and captured his personality so well. She’s been flexible the whole way through and really easy to work with. We love the prints we ended up with and she even delivered them to us in person. We highly recommend Anne!.”
